Listen to the river
At first it may appear distant and vague. A vision of the journey you’re too afraid to commence. The allure of the unknown is that the possibilities are infinite. Better to reach an outcome than to ponder what could be. What should be is our will to achieve. What won’t be is the willingness to fail. Bestow grace as you overcome those mental barriers , breathe , and love thy self while facilitating change.
I discovered The River of Reflection four years ago as I began to rebuild. There was no room to continue shielding the persona I came to be. My body withstood a trauma that allowed me to dissociate, forgive , and return back to the land. There’s something to be said about moments that break down one’s trinity. My mind, body, and spirit needed connection. Thus I began the intense journey of healing after double knee surgery.
After six excruciating months of tears, regret, anger, forgiveness, compassion , and loving kindness ..
physical therapy mobilized my body.
Spending time with my tribe stimulated the mind
But there was still something missing..
Investing in myself, I began meditating daily. Using the same set of Tibetan singing bowls you feel during our sessions. They communicated in a language never spoken. Pure frequencies vibrated through my body, engaging the mind with beautiful harmonies. Not long after my spirit began calling out. Yet again becoming a student to the rhythm of life.
Time moved forward and a year has passed. I’m connected and aligned. Aligned in my purpose standing ten toes deep. Manifesting mentors that nurtured my natural abilities. Each teacher (although they may not know) evoked a desire to facilitate my own sessions.
With little to no doubt we made it here. A first hand account on what meditation can lead to. The practice brought me from a bed of inhibitions to an evergreen garden of self.
